Ptarmigan Mountain
Ptarmigan Mountain - 2365M 445M Prominence 52.04432, -119.24273 October 5, 2025 3H 30M C2C, 3H moving 925M Ascent and descent 8.06KM I was looking to get out this weekend again before winter really hits. I was originally planning to do a more interesting objective in Dunn Peak, but I was unable to find a partner, and with the rumored extended class 4 scrambling, I did not want to be alone for that one. I looked around a bit, and as I have been learning more and more about this area around Clearwater, I have been finding out that most of the peaks don't have any info at all on them, and probably almost never get climbed aside from heli skiing. I looked at some maps a bit and found that there was a logging road up to 1420M on the West side of Ptarmigan mountain, which was not even in the PeakBagger database.
