Tyler and have been looking forward to doing a bigger adventure for a while now, but the stars just never aligned. This is when we decided to settle for Slip, which I must admit I had not even heard of before this week. It was not an overnighter, but still a rather long day. He picked me up at 5 AM and we drove as far as we could down Dianne main. Eventually the road stopped at a creek where the bridge was removed. we parked, unloaded our bikes and took off. We carried our bikes over our shoulders across the creek, and got biking. It was a lost cause. we very soon ditched our bikes after only a few minutes. It was just far too overgrown. We made our way up the old deactivated road, and a few hours later we were near The spectacular Dianne Falls. At the end of the road we started our bushwhack, which soon got better as it became old growth forest. Snow started to appear as we made it out of the trees and into the alpine. We used our ice axes to aid us up a few steeper snowy sections which never exceeded 40 degrees or so. The Alpine section to the summit seemingly went on forever as we were fooled by a few false summits. Once on the summit we took in some great views of future goals such as Baldy and Slide mountain. We had a lunch break, then came back the same route we came up. I was glad to have brought my crampons for this trip, on the other hand the snowshoes proved useless once again. A good long day out all and all, and I am always pleased to summit a peak which I have never heard of.

Dianne falls at the end of the deactivated road,
quite spectacular

A good view of Baldy, and the relatively steep terrain

 they got used today)

On the way back down, a lovely old growth
