HRP Day 4 stats
1936M Ascent, 1288M Descent
31.94 KM
Day 4 started with a bit of a wait as I needed to go in to the gas station supermarket to pick up some more food supplies for the coming days. I then got going in mid morning and climbed the trail that took me up and past Col de Lepeder. A bit of route finding was necessary after I passed by some unfinished vacant homes. I soon regained an old road though, then made it up to the summit of Errola, which is yet another Basque rolling hill on my HRP route. Astobizkar is the first peak over 1000M that I come near, and it feels good to start slowly gaining elevation and getting into bigger mountains. The summit itself was not very exciting, and very broad, but the sun was out and the views were very good this afternoon. Astobizkar translates to " the donkey's back". After tagging the summit
