I was passing through Victoria on my way to Vancouver to take a flight for a climbing trip, and I spent a night at Tyler's. He was pretty busy with school but we just wanted to hang out and go bag a quick peak so Mount Work fit the bill. Mount work is one of the few more well known forested bumps in the Victoria area, and has good trails as a result. The drive there took nearly as long as the ascent did. We parked at the south end trailhead close to the Fork Lake and made the quick ascent via the main summit trail. The summit offered good views and interesting lighting and weather, as some high winds were passing through. It was an enjoyable hike and we ran part of the way back to the truck.
