Today's weather forecasted for more of the same drizzly periodic rain that has been haunting Squamish all week. The morning looked good enough to go out and bag a few mediocre peaks in the morning while it was more dry though. I easily convinced Stella and Molly to join me for the day and we got a 7:50 AM start. The drive in was one of the chillest FSR approaches ever, and after around KM 6 on the Mamquam I turned off on Ray Basin Main, and drove the impeccable road up to around 600M. From here we started the hike up a quite long and monotonous section of older forestry road. After hiking up that road for a solid hour and a bit the road rapidly became quite overgrown. Where the alders had overgrown the road it also become quite swampy due to the fact we were in the Ray Creek headwater basin. This initial bushwhack was quite short lived though and we soon crossed the boggy meadow to access a gulley on the North side of Anif peak that would take us up to the peak's West ridge, within striking distance of the summit.
